What you will do

• Own and evolve the architecture of highly available, distributed, event-driven backend systems across the Ops Hub.
• Lead technical design and delivery of complex, cross-team initiatives in onboarding, compliance, and risk infrastructure.
• Actively write and review production code, ensuring high quality, testing, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Drive architectural decision-making through clear technical proposals and close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide senior engineers, acting as a technical reference point and raising overall engineering standards.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in backend software engineering with Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven microservices architectures (Kafka or similar).
• Deep understanding of data modelling and persistence using relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB).
• Comfortable operating autonomously across multiple teams and navigating ambiguity.
• Highly collaborative, able to influence without formal authority and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP.
