Technical Lead (Fintech): Acting as a Technical Governor for the Credit Cards Tribe, enforcing engineering rigor, defining quality gates, and bridging solution architecture with vendor delivery. Focus on securing compliance, technical stability, and implementing robust API strategies, data reconciliation, and CI/CD standards within a federated landscape.

Location: Work-from-home options from Austria. 30 days/year remote work from any EU country also available.

Salary: EUR 60.000, gross p.a. starting salary.

What you will do

• Enforce strict technical contracts and interface specifications (API & File) for core systems.
• Design and implement automated quality gates and code quality checks for vendor deliveries.
• Architect technical security wrappers for legacy systems to ensure safe operations during migration.
• Implement technical checks for data integrity and govern CI/CD deployment pipeline standards.
• Lead root cause analysis during complex cross-vendor outages and enforce permanent fixes.
• Build technical observability for regulatory compliance (BCBS 239, DORA) and enforce API-First design for future AI integration.

Requirements

• Senior Engineering Experience in a Lead, Integration, or DevSecOps role.
• Proven ability in vendor governance, managing external development teams and ensuring code quality.
• Deep technical knowledge of API Gateways (Rest/Soap), File Transfer (SFTP/MFT), and Identity Management (OIDC).
• Hands-on experience with AWS core services (ECS, RDS, IAM) and Linux environments.
• Practical experience with security scanning tools, vulnerability management, and "Least Privilege" principles.
• Ability to understand complex data flows (SQL/Data Lineage) and experience in regulated environments (Banking/Finance).
• Business fluent English is mandatory.
