What you will do

• Establish and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework covering regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, conduct risk, and consumer protection.
• Act as the named CCO & MLRO with the CBUAE, leading license applications, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
• Oversee the full Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) lifecycle, sanctions/PEP screening, transaction monitoring, and fraud-detection controls.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to embed compliance controls into new features and onboarding flows.
• Investigate client complaints or operational incidents with regulatory impact and lead root-cause analysis.
• Deliver mandatory AML/compliance training to all UAE staff and promote a culture of transparency and ethical conduct.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in a similar CCO/MLRO position within a FinTech or payment institution, covering KYC, CDD/EDD, Transaction Monitoring, Risk Assessments, and Reporting (SARs).
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in compliance and AML (e.g., CAMS, ACAMS).
• Experience in working with regulatory authorities (CBUAE/DFSA/FSRA/SCA).
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting and implementing regulations, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
