Location: On-Site in Hsinchu, Taiwan (temporary position, renewable every year).

What you will do

• Devise improvements in embedded ISP color processing pipeline (Defective pixel correction, Color interpolation, Gamma, Denoise, Sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, …) and Imaging Applications (Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance, AutoFocus).
• Apply expertise in ISP image quality tuning for objective criteria and subjective real-life use cases.
• Originate novel algorithms for improving video image quality in areas of noise reduction, details retention, facial enhancement.
• Implement and optimize algorithms utilizing image processing, computational photography, computer vision, and Deep Learning techniques.
• Create new imaging features for improving user experience by intelligent understanding of the scene by the camera.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of embedded ISP: pixel processing, 3A, image enhancement, Auto Scene Detection.
• Working experience in both objective image quality tuning in laboratory environments and subjective image quality tuning in real-world user scenarios.
• Hands-on experience in developing at least one image processing algorithm or mastering IQ Tuning of at least one imaging algorithm in an embedded environment.
• MS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant working experience in multimedia or imaging processing.
• Proficiency in OpenCV, Deep Learning, Matlab, GPU programming, C/C++/Python, and Linux/Android OS environments.
• Must be able to work On-Site in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
