Location: 100% remote, global role. Must be comfortable operating in a high-autonomy, high-responsibility global role.

What you will do

• Define and execute Tether’s global DeFi strategy for USDT, XAUT, and USAT, prioritizing active users and net circulation.
• Lead the expansion of XAUT adoption and utility in DeFi, including its use as collateral and a real-world asset.
• Manage senior-level relationships with DeFi protocols and negotiate strategic partnerships and integrations.
• Design and deploy capital-efficient liquidity and incentive programs with measurable outcomes.
• Own and manage a significant DeFi budget, including forecasting, spend approval, and ROI reporting.
• Establish robust risk assessment and monitoring frameworks across supported DeFi protocols.

Requirements

• 3+ years of crypto or digital assets experience with deep hands-on DeFi expertise ("crypto native").
• Proven experience leading and managing teams in a DeFi, crypto, or financial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to own and manage material budgets and reporting frameworks.
• Strong understanding of DeFi primitives like lending/borrowing, AMMs, RWAs, and incentive mechanisms.
• Strong commercial judgment balancing growth, risk, and capital efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Prior leadership role at a major DeFi protocol, foundation, or liquidity provider.
• Experience managing stablecoin or commodity-backed asset strategies.
• Familiarity with on-chain analytics, performance attribution, and risk monitoring tools.
