Location: Remote (US) with required in-person participation for offsites throughout the year.

Salary: $186,065–$218,900 USD annually

What you will do

• Build new services using Golang to meet critical product and business needs.
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems and the teams running them.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to define the product and technical roadmap.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
• Ability to compose a service-oriented architecture.
• Passion for building an open financial system.
• Work authorization for the US and ability to participate in US-based benefits (401k, HSA).
• Ability to attend in-person offsites throughout the year.

Nice to have

• Experience with rapid company growth (from startup to mid-size).
• Experience with Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum).
• Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
• Familiarity with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
• Crypto-forward experience (onchain activity, Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps).
