Location: In-office 3-5 days a week in Lisbon, Portugal

What you will do

• Execute a specialized security project over 12-16 weeks to directly improve hirify.global’s defensive posture.
• Build and improve systems that protect hirify.global from malicious attacks, focusing on threats and their operations.
• Triage and respond to security alerts and incidents with Incident Response Engineers.
• Engineer solutions to enhance incident response and security operations using technologies like automation and agentic AI.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, People, Engineering, and Finance teams to integrate security into the company’s fabric.
• Present your security project to the company and contribute to hirify.global blog or TV sessions.

Requirements

• Understanding of attacker Tools, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
• Understanding of operating systems, SaaS applications, CI/CD, and common security tools.
• Understanding of the Incident Response Lifecycle.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language for automation.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills and drive to learn and adapt new technologies.
• Ability to commit to a minimum 12-week summer internship.
• Must be in office 3-5 days a week in the Lisbon office.

• Demonstrated passion for security and software development, such as personal projects or open-source contributions.
