Finance Expert (Crypto)

TL;DR

Finance Expert (Crypto): Enhancing hirify.global's frontier AI models by supplying high-quality annotations, evaluations, and expert reasoning with an accent on cryptocurrency and digital asset markets, quantitative crypto strategies, and risk management. Focus on guiding AI models to understand blockchain data, DeFi protocols, and market microstructure for scientific discovery and complex system reasoning.

Location: Fully remote. Not hiring in Wyoming or Illinois (US). Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates should align with 9:00am - 5:30pm PST for the first two weeks, then 9:00am - 5:30pm in their own timezone thereafter.

Salary: $45/hour – $100/hour (for U.S.-based candidates)

What you will do

• Enhance hirify.global's AI models by supplying high-quality annotations, evaluations, and expert reasoning using proprietary labeling tools.
• Partner with engineers and researchers to iterate on new training tasks and crypto-specific benchmarks.
• Guide AI models in quantitative crypto strategies, on-chain analysis, DeFi protocols, and portfolio/risk management.
• Generate high-quality data in text, voice, and video formats to train and refine advanced AI models.
• Provide rigorous critiques of model outputs, quantitative approaches, mathematical derivations, and code snippets.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Quantitative Finance, Computer Science with crypto/blockchain focus) or equivalent professional experience as a quantitative crypto trader/analyst.
• Superior written and verbal English communication.
• Extensive hands-on familiarity with crypto data sources and tools (e.g., CoinGecko, Dune Analytics, Nansen, blockchain explorers).
• Outstanding analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment under partial information.
• Strong passion for cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, decentralized finance, and frontier AI applications.
• Must not require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Professional experience in quantitative crypto trading, systematic strategies, or on-chain research at a relevant firm.
• Publications or public analyses in crypto quant topics.
• Proficiency in Python for crypto analysis (e.g., pandas, NumPy, ccxt, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and/or Rust/Solidity familiarity.
• Experience with backtesting crypto strategies and handling tick-level or on-chain data.
• Knowledge of MEV, flash loans, or other crypto-native phenomena.
• Prior involvement with LLMs, reinforcement learning, or AI evaluation in financial/crypto contexts.
