Release Engineer

TL;DR

Release Engineer (Game Development): Assisting with and enhancing integration procedures and developing new policies for the Battlefield Franchise, with an accent on maintaining and optimizing the build production toolchain. Focus on reacting to continuous integration alerts, debugging code, and ensuring high-quality builds across a multi-studio distributed development team.

Location: Hybrid (3 days a week in office) in Gothenburg, Sweden

What you will do

• React to continuous integration alerts, perform preliminary analysis, and dispatch to the appropriate team.
• Maintain and optimize the build production toolchain.
• Integrate code from the development branch to the release branch.
• Tackle issues presented by other engineering teams through data analysis to pinpoint and resolve problems.
• Oversee continuous integration systems and maintain records of integration procedures and results.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Release Engineer or Integration Engineer discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in C++.
• Experience in a version control system.
• Experience with a scripting language, such as Python or PowerShell.
• Capacity to engage with unfamiliar code in C++, C#, Groovy, or Python.
• Hybrid work model requiring three designated days a week in the Gothenburg office.

Nice to have

• Experience debugging code and finding defects.
• Experience with continuous integration or build systems.
• Experience with Visual Studio and the C++ compiler and linker.
