What you will do

• Design and implement core features for internal data applications, including backend services and data integrations.
• Partner with product, data, and engineering stakeholders to shape requirements and design high-impact solutions.
• Build and evolve scalable, reliable, and observable systems that power business-critical products.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the data and application platform, improving architecture and performance.
• Develop and operate services and pipelines in a multi-language environment (Go, Scala, ClickHouse).
• Work on modern, AI-enabled components like vector search and AI-powered application features.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience building and operating production systems, ideally across backend, data, and application layers.
• Strong proficiency in one or more systems or backend languages such as Go, Java, or Python, with the ability to quickly learn across a multi-language stack.
• Experience designing and working with data-intensive systems, including strong SQL and hands-on experience with relational and/or analytical databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse).
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, reliable, and observable systems, with experience influencing architecture and improving platform foundations.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional partners.

Nice to have

• Proven experience building modern web applications, including JavaScript/TypeScript and React, and collaborating effectively across frontend and backend boundaries.
