TL;DR

Transaction Services Specialist (Disputes & Collections): Managing the full lifecycle of customer disputes and collections, ensuring timely resolution and payment recovery with an accent on accurate investigation, proactive outreach, and effective negotiation. Focus on maintaining healthy accounts receivable and optimizing finance operations processes.

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal. The working schedule is 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM WET. The company is unable to offer relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Investigate and resolve customer invoice disputes and chargebacks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage collections activities for overdue accounts, including proactive communication with customers and partners.
  • Support the preparation of regular reports on collections activities, outstanding amounts, and recovery rates.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, identify discrepancies, and process necessary transactional adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Support) to gather information and resolve complex disputes and collection cases.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the collections process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role and environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical approach in investigating disputes and discrepancies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly with internal commercial teams.
  • Familiarity with billing platforms, collections management workflows, order management systems, and CRM tools.
  • Proficient written and spoken English.
