Engineering Manager (Game Development)

What you will do

• Define and own the technical vision and architecture for R&D projects, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead and mentor a core group of up to 10 engineers, acting as a technical authority and people manager.
• Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, CI/CD, deployment, and observability.
• Collaborate with product, design, and game teams to translate game vision into robust technical solutions.
• Oversee and evolve the backend and infrastructure stack, including AWS-based services and live-ops readiness.
• Support the team on complex implementation challenges while remaining close to the codebase.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, CTO, or Development Lead in game development.
• Strong hands-on background with C# and Unity, including experience with 3D projects.
• Solid understanding of backend systems and Microservices Architecture.
• Practical experience with PostgreSQL (or other SQL database), Kafka, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with AWS (or other public cloud) in production environments.
• Leadership experience managing engineers directly and influencing larger teams.
