Focus on independently researching topics, maintaining existing documentation in DocBook XML, and collaborating with engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality documentation on time.

What you will do

• Research topics independently for hirify.global Linux Enterprise documentation.
• Maintain, update, and expand existing documentation for hirify.global Linux Enterprise, hirify.global Linux Enterprise Server for SAP applications, and Trento.
• Write and maintain new documentation for products, focusing on how-tos and use-cases.
• Use DocBook XML source format and convert existing documentation into reusable topics.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Product Marketing, and customer-facing departments.
• Review external contributions and support the team in enhancing documentation workflows and processes.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in technical writing or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Two or more years of experience as a technical writer in the IT industry.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Excellent English language skills (oral and written).
• Proven experience in documentation as code, including Git/GitHub workflows.
• Linux knowledge is required.

Nice to have

• Strong communication skills and willingness to foster long-term relationships.
• Familiarity with DocBook XML and topic-based authoring.
• Experience with container technologies.
• Basic knowledge of high availability clustering.
• Familiarity with SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP S/4HANA solutions.
