Data Analyst

TL;DR

Data Analyst: Supporting Chief Administrative Office (CAO) data enablement and management activities with an accent on gathering and writing data use case requirements, performing data analysis, and developing data relationship designs. Focus on collaborating with business stakeholders, designing scalable data models, and ensuring alignment with enterprise data standards.

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC

Salary: $7,200–$8,000 per month (W2 contract)

What you will do

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for data use cases.
• Design and architect scalable data models and data element relationships with an emphasis on usability and performance.
• Identify and write requirements for data source integrity monitoring.
• Support database enhancement requests and contribute to logical data design solutions.
• Participate in data management documentation including data lineage and metadata management.
• Evaluate upstream system of record changes for potential data impact and provide recommendations.
• Translate business needs into actionable data requirements and technical specifications.
• Partner with technology and data governance groups to ensure alignment with enterprise data standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in MSSQL: Ability to write, read, and optimize queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience in data cleansing, validation, and transformation logic using Alteryx and SSMS.
• Ability to define clear data sourcing and transformation logic requirements and database/table/column specifications.
• Experience with metadata management and data governance practices.
• Proficiency in data profiling and root cause analysis for data quality issues.
• Must be eligible for W2 contract employment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Data Cloud stack (Dataplex, BigQuery, etc.).
• Familiarity with SSIS packages and jobs.
• Familiarity with Agile processes and Atlassian software (Jira).
