What you will do

• Oversee translation, editing, and proofreading of German video game content from English into German.
• Collaborate with client-side stakeholders to align on tone, style, and terminology for Blizzard® Entertainment titles.
• Drive creative language decisions and develop/maintain linguistic resources like style guides and glossaries.
• Review key assets, manage linguistic escalations, and resolve queries.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Audio, LQA, Project Managers) to ensure linguistic consistency and quality.
• Train and mentor internal and external translators on best practices and workflows.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience editing video game content.
• Native-level German and fluent English (written and spoken) are essential.
• Familiarity with Blizzard® projects (e.g., World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch, Diablo) is important.
• Solid experience with CAT tools (e.g., memoQ) and project management platforms (e.g., Jira, MS Office).
• Background in linguistics, translation, or language studies.
• Ability to work in Central European Time (CET).
