Software Engineer, Backend (Blockchain Nodes): Responsible for upgrading blockchain nodes and implementing automation to reduce TOIL and increase service effectiveness, focusing on further streamlining the service and reducing manual effort. Focus on managing data consistency, block freshness, and ensuring reliability and scalability across the blockchain platform stack.

Location: In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually.

Salary: $152,405—$179,300 USD

What you will do

• Upgrade blockchain nodes.
• Implement automation to reduce TOIL and increase service effectiveness.
• Identify new areas of investment (automation) to further streamline the service and reduce manual effort.
• Manage blockchain traffic, including stateful failover between multiple external providers.
• Ensure reliability and scalability across the blockchain platform stack.
• Build a platform on top of existing nodes to reduce engineering effort and ops TOIL.

Requirements

• You have at least 2 years of experience in software engineering.
• You’ve designed, built, scaled and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service oriented architecture.
• You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
• You’re passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.
