Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, Threat And Vulnerability (Cybersecurity)

Principal Cybersecurity Engineer (Cybersecurity): Responsible for identifying, assessing, and coordinating security vulnerabilities across IT infrastructure, business applications, and cloud environments with an accent on building scalable vulnerability detection rules, alerts, and triage pipelines. Focus on interpreting complex data from vulnerability scans, examining disclosed vulnerabilities, and implementing technical recommendations for mitigation.

Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite in Irving, TX, Arlington, TX, or Fort Worth, TX, United States, and 1 day remote)

What you will do

• Support technical direction for vulnerability and scanning supporting technology.
• Build and maintain scalable vulnerability detection rules, alerts, scripts, and triage pipelines.
• Monitor and assess the company’s cybersecurity risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct continuous discovery and vulnerability assessment of enterprise-wide assets.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for vulnerability management and remediation efforts.
• Interpret complex data from vulnerability scans and implement technical recommendations for addressing identified vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Greater than 10 years of experience in a related function.
• 3-5 years of experience leading through mentorship in related field.
• 3-5 years of experience leading projects and initiatives through influence.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Related certifications and/or licenses required.
• Strong knowledge of business acumen and understanding of business implications of decisions.
• Experience in threat modeling, secure design, and code review processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix, and other operating system vulnerabilities and ransomware protection.
• Experience securing hybrid/multi cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Understanding of CVE, CVSS scoring, CWE, MitRE ATT&CK Framework, threat intelligence, and CISA.
