What you will do

• Manage and coach a team of 8+ software engineers, ensuring accountability and growth.
• Partner with leadership to improve team health and effectiveness.
• Lead prototyping efforts, balancing short-term and long-term product and technical needs.
• Be accountable for the technical health of the product and actively participate in implementation.
• Build relationships with other Riot engineering teams for collaboration.
• Champion sourcing and hiring processes for engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience managing development teams.
• 8+ years professional experience as a software engineer.
• 2+ years developing game features with at least 1 shipped game title.
• 5+ years experience with hands-on gameplay implementation.
• Experience managing engineers and actively participating in their growth.
• Experience recruiting candidates and growing an engineering team.
• Experience participating in technical design reviews and code reviews.
• Expertise in C++.

• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Experience shipping and live supporting a modern MMO.
• Experience leading an engineering team in early concept and prototyping.
• Experience leading cross-discipline teams in prototyping.
