What you will do
- Deploy, manage, and monitor Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters, monitoring performance, availability, and reliability.
- Manage Kubernetes cluster upgrades, patching, and backup strategies, and Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, and ACLs.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or Salt Stack.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams, and participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
- 2+ years of experience administering Apache Kafka.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Hybrid work: 2-3 days per week in the office in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
- English: B2 required.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka.
