What you will do

• Deploy, manage, and monitor Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters, monitoring performance, availability, and reliability.
• Manage Kubernetes cluster upgrades, patching, and backup strategies, and Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, and ACLs.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or Salt Stack.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams, and participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• 2+ years of experience administering Apache Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking.
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Hybrid work: 2-3 days per week in the office in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
• Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka.
