What you will do

  • Collaborate with other animators, software developers, designers and producers to ensure consistent product vision.
  • Identify production and pipeline issues and communicate them appropriately.
  • Participate in reviews; respond to critical feedback in a professional manner and contribute feedback to your peers.
  • Create high-quality in-game animations.
  • Ensure that each animation has the right energy and personality, as intended by the project vision.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a 2D animator in games (or strong comparable animation skillset).
  • Good knowledge in hand-keyed timeline animation and strong understanding of core principles of animation such as ‘timing’ and ‘weight’.
  • Experience in preparing and working with game-ready sprite assets and their in-game engine implementation.
  • An excellent portfolio which demonstrates your ability to create high-quality game animations and validates that you have a good knowledge of animation creation in different styles.
  • Strong proficiency with Unity and Photoshop.
  • Ability to work in Git version control workflow and follow animation pipelines.
  • Self-Organised, efficient and active and initiative team member.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in spritesheet and sprite art creation and frame-by-frame animation.
  • Experience in After Effects, Spine (or comparable skeletal animation software), particle systems and 3D animation.
  • Experience or interest in working with audio and implementing sound effects in-game.
  • Experience in working with external teams.
  • Genuine passion for games and animation and good knowledge of art and culture.
