hirify.global is a volunteer-based, all-online game development team, currently developing The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order, an indie open-world RPG using Unreal Engine 4.
What you will do
- Create realistic 3D creatures (with fantastical and heraldic details) including mesh sculpting, texturing, and fur/hair card.
- Work effectively and accurately from pre-defined concept art and designs.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with other team members.
- Follow team policies and attend meetings via Slack.
- Aid junior members in relevant areas if comfortable teaching.
Requirements
- English: C1 fluency required
- Experience creating realistic creature meshes and textures, including fur sculpts using Hair Card and Alpha Planes.
- Proficiency in Physically-based Rendering (PBR) and working with low-poly/game-ready assets.
- Full texturing ability (Diffuse, Normal, Displacement, etc.).
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine 4 and 3D Modeling Software (e.g., 3DS Max, Maya, Blender).
- Proficiency with 2D Texturing Software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter).
Nice to have
- Rigging and Skinning Experience with 3D Creatures.
