Senior Software Engineer (AI/Search): Designing and delivering growth-driven features for search experiences across web and apps with an accent on providing best suggestions and efficient filtering. Focus on leading technical designs, ensuring performance and scalability of microservices, and interacting with AI/search foundations.

Location: Flexible working environment (2 days home office per week + up to 4 total weeks additional flexibility during the summer period and in December to work fully remotely). International teams and a multicultural environment spanning 10 offices across Europe.

What you will do

• Join the Search Team within the Diner Experience Tribe.
• Design and deliver growth-driven features for search experiences.
• Lead and drive technical designs for scalable solutions.
• Interact with the Core Tribe for AI and search foundations.
• Mentor developers and define quality standards.
• Ensure performance and scalability of critical components.

Requirements

• Solid technical background in web technologies (8-10 years experience).
• Strong expertise in NodeJS & Typescript for horizontally scalable microservice-based architecture.
• Experience in Python for AI microservices.
• Knowledge in PostgreSQL & OpenSearch.
• Experience with architectural patterns of large-scale applications and high-traffic distributed systems.
• Comfortable writing and speaking in English.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of search systems (OpenSearch, Ranking, Autocomplete, Maps).
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Kubernetes & AWS.
• Ability to work cross-team with Core Tribe and AI teams.
