What you will do

• Maintain and enhance a high-throughput, multi-provider payment processing platform.
• Develop robust payment integrations with third-party gateways.
• Implement security-critical features involving encryption and PCI compliance.
• Optimize performance of transaction processing pipelines for scale and reliability.
• Design and implement comprehensive testing, including unit and integration tests.
• Debug and resolve production issues in complex legacy systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional C++ development experience in production environments.
• Strong understanding of systems programming, memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Experience with payment processing or financial transaction systems.
• Deep knowledge of security best practices, cryptography, secure data handling, and common vulnerabilities.
• Proficiency with build systems (Bazel highly valued).
• Experience working with legacy codebases and strong debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Payment gateway integration experience (Stripe, Braintree, Adyen, or similar).
• PCI-DSS compliance knowledge and implementation experience.
• Apache module development experience.
• Kafka or other event streaming platforms experience.
• Modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17) and financial services industry experience.
