What you will do

• Define and maintain roadmaps for Data Platform, Core Data, and BI aligned with business goals.
• Manage project priorities, dependencies, and risks to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Drive operational excellence in incident response, postmortems, and continuous improvement.
• Own career development, coaching, growth plans, and performance reviews for the team.
• Build and scale the team through hiring, headcount planning, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning within the data organization.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management leading data/platform and/or analytics engineering teams.
• 8+ years total experience in data/platform/analytics engineering.
• Demonstrated success in improving team health and leading multi-squad delivery.
• Proven track record delivering against roadmaps and tight SLAs for mission-critical data.
• Experience scaling a data platform with a strong grasp of non-functional requirements (storage/compute architecture, performance, reliability, security, cost).
• Familiarity with data governance practices (catalog/lineage, access controls, retention/auditability, data quality frameworks).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable working with trading, research, risk, finance, and compliance.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc.
• Experience with management reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Trading industry experience, including market data ingestion, quantitative research workflows, and regulatory reporting.
