What you will do

• Act as a bridge between R&D and embedded systems engineering for pet tech products.
• Research and prototype new sensing technologies, data processing, and connectivity solutions.
• Design and implement embedded firmware prototypes in C/C++ on real devices.
• Collaborate closely with Firmware, Backend, Data Science, and Hardware teams.
• Validate hypotheses through simulation, field testing, and data analysis.
• Translate experimental concepts into robust, manufacturable features for customers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in firmware development (C/C++).
• Background in Firmware R&D, ideally having accompanied features from proof-of-concept to production in IoT.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems engineering, including microcontrollers, sensors, and connectivity modules.
• Proven prototyping skills and comfort with quickly testing ideas on evaluation boards.
• Comfortable with data processing and analysis.
• Very good English skills.
• Must be excited to work in Austria alongside an outstanding team.

Nice to have

• Programming skills in Python (e.g., pandas, Matplotlib, Numpy).
