Head of Engineering (eCommerce): Defining and executing technical strategy and roadmap for a high-volume, data-intensive marketplace with an accent on architectural excellence, scalability, reliability, and data accuracy. Location: Hybrid in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania
Salary: €6,500 – €8,300 gross/month

What you will do
- Define and execute technical strategy and roadmap for the Marketplace Inventory Supply domain.
- Directly manage 3+ Engineering Teams, including Engineering Leads and Senior Engineers.
- Lead the quarterly planning process, translating high-level business objectives into clear engineering goals.
- Oversee the engineering lifecycle for partner integrations and property data ingestion/transformation.
- Drive architectural excellence and make key technology decisions for the high-volume, data-intensive platform.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and cross-functional stakeholders for timely feature delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive leadership experience managing engineering teams in a high-traffic, data-intensive marketplace or e-commerce environment.
- Technical expertise in one or more areas of our tech stack (PHP Symfony, .NET C#, distributed systems, high-volume data processing with Kafka/RabbitMQ, large-scale databases like MariaDB/Snowflake/ElasticSearch).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical strategy to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with product managers and business teams to translate requirements into technical roadmaps.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of technical excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP), and modern monitoring and observability practices.
