What you will do
- Provide guidance on cybersecurity capabilities, requirements, processes, and policies.
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments and implement controls for classified and sensitive systems.
- Support system authorization efforts under frameworks such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Perform vulnerability scans, analyze results, and assist with mitigation planning.
- Monitor security tools and logs to identify potential threats or anomalous activity.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to embed cybersecurity throughout the system lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs) and security assessment reports.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and readiness reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, ideally supporting DoD or federal government programs.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-53, RMF, FISMA, or DoD cybersecurity policy.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Splunk, or endpoint protection platforms.
- Active TS/SCI clearance or higher is required for most positions, with some requiring Secret or Top Secret clearances.
