Location: This is a hybrid role, requiring staff to be in one of our offices (New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA, USA) at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is available.

Salary: $275,000 - $370,000 USD

What you will do

• Define core metrics, build measurement frameworks, and maintain core reporting to evaluate success.
• Deep dive into product and user data to derive actionable insights and size opportunities.
• Develop hypotheses, apply rigorous causal inference methods, and analyze results.
• Build statistical models, optimization frameworks, and simulations to automate decision-making.
• Present complex technical analyses and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
• Establish foundational data practices and help scale analytics infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
• Deep expertise with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Expertise with experimental design, causal inference, statistical modeling, and A/B testing frameworks.
• Highly effective written communication and presentation skills.
• Track record of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Passion for building helpful, honest, and harmless AI.
• Some experience with AI/ML products, large language models, or developer tools.
• Work authorization for the USA or ability to obtain visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience building digital products or developer tools using LLMs.
• Familiarity with building and maintaining data infrastructure for high-scale products.
• Experience supporting B2B sales teams with data insights.
• Strong instincts for what drives product adoption, engagement, and retention.
