Location: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to live within 25 miles of hirify.global's office in Denver, CO, with a hybrid schedule (Tu, Wed., Th. in office, M, F work from home). The company can also consider candidates located in various US states (CA, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MI, MO, NY, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA), with exceptions for New York metro, Seattle metro, and the Bay Area. Candidates must have US work authorization and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $155,000–$170,000 base salary + annual company bonus program + equity in stock options.

What you will do

• Collaborate deeply with Engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to integrate security solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy security tooling and infrastructure.
• Investigate and assess existing AWS cloud infrastructures and implement security enhancements.
• Utilize Terraform and other automation tools to ensure security from deployment.
• Manage code security scanning (SAST & SCA) and integrate fixes into developer workflows.
• Lead and support Security Incident Response, including tabletop exercises and penetration testing.
• Oversee and refine RBAC policies and identity governance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience applying security to modern cloud products and services in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to write code or scripts (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) to automate security tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Deep familiarity with public cloud providers, specifically AWS.
• Experience implementing and managing a modern security stack (e.g., Wiz, GitHub Advanced Security, Cloudflare, Splunk, Okta).
• Ability to communicate complex technical ideas, risks, and threats to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• US Work Authorization required; company cannot sponsor visas.
