TL;DR

Staff Engineer (Supply): Driving engineering strategy and technical leadership for the Supply domain, ensuring scalability and performance of solutions for a high-scale distributed system. Focus on defining architectural vision, collaborating on software design, and maintaining a technical roadmap for key backend services.

Location: Hybrid in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania. 2 days in the office recommended but not enforced.

Salary: €8,000–€11,300 gross per month

What you will do

• Drive co-creation of the domain’s engineering strategy and align with product vision.
• Improve and own the Supply domain part of hirify.global Marketplace.
• Collaborate with leadership to set best practices for software engineering.
• Act as a technical leader, initiating and supporting projects across the organization.
• Create and maintain a technical roadmap for the domain.
• Collaborate with other domains and developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a technical engineering leader (Staff/Principal equivalent), having successfully defined, led, and delivered major, company-wide technical initiatives.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical goals to both internal and external audiences.
• Ability to drive a clear architectural vision by collaborating and iterating on software design.
• Experience with high-scale, distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of observability tools (Kibana, Grafana, Datadog) and a passion for introducing new practices.
• Excellent communication in spoken and written English.
