Software Architect

TL;DR

Software Architect: Providing technical vision and architectural governance within the backend engineering organization for a high-concurrency platform that integrates with global travel partners, hotel properties, and airlines with an accent on low-latency execution and high availability. Focus on improving the engineering lifecycle by establishing sophisticated observability patterns and CI/CD maturity.

Location: This role is required to work from our Kaunas office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: from 4500 EUR up to 6667 EUR gross monthly.

What you will do

• Ensure the search and booking logic maintains optimal performance under the rigorous demands of global enterprise clientele.
• Lead the design of high-performance, fault-tolerant integration frameworks for third-party APIs, prioritizing low-latency execution and high availability.
• Serve as a primary consultant for multiple engineering squads, providing clarity on complex architectural trade-offs.
• Spearhead initiatives to improve the engineering lifecycle.
• Translate high-level business objectives into robust technical specifications.

Requirements

• A minimum of 9 years of professional software development experience dedicated to large-scale distributed systems.
• Expert-level mastery of the Java ecosystem and Spring Framework.
• Expertise in designing for high-throughput data environments using PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
• Good command of the English language
• Understanding of airline distribution standards, specifically NDC and legacy GDS protocols.
• Knowledge of B2B integration patterns including SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, and SCIM.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with AI/LLM would be a plus.
