Junior Frontend Software Engineer

What you will do

• Develop features with well-defined solutions according to acceptance criteria, adhering to code standards and style guides.
• Identify and fix bugs using established debugging tools.
• Create unit tests to ensure code meets quality standards.
• Follow established code-quality rules and use existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Understand how the frontend integrates with APIs (REST; GraphQL is a plus).

Requirements

• Theoretical knowledge and practical experience with semantic HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Basic familiarity with TypeScript and common JS tooling/ecosystem.
• Familiarity with React and its ecosystem; experience with at least one modern JS framework/library.
• Understanding of best practices for web application implementation (code quality, maintainability, basic security hygiene) and basic software design awareness.
• Ability to interpret UI designs and understanding of UI/UX principles; basic accessibility (WCAG) and front-end performance awareness.
• Basic experience writing unit/integration tests and identifying issues using browser DevTools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and a DevSecOps mindset at a junior level.
• Experience using AI coding assistants productively and responsibly.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS / cloud-native fundamentals and Infrastructure as Code concepts/tools (e.g., Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK).
• Practical GraphQL exposure.
• Basic understanding of the social and ethical implications of software engineering.
