Security Engineer (Linux, Containers)

What you will do

• Design and implement hardening standards for Linux and containers.
• Implement PAM/PIM solutions and privileged access management.
• Integrate SAST/DAST/SBOM into CI/CD pipelines.
• Own the vulnerability management process.
• Perform penetration testing of infrastructure and applications.
• Handle incident response and security audits.

Requirements

• 3+ years of practical experience with Linux system administration and hardening.
• Experience with SELinux/AppArmor policies and their implementation.
• Knowledge of kernel hardening, secure boot, and system update strategies.
• Advanced auditd, integrity monitoring (AIDE, OSSEC).
• Proficiency in automation using Bash and Python.
• Security configuration of server applications (Apache/Nginx, OpenSSH, databases).
• Advanced Git (CI/CD integration, code review, branching workflow).
• Ability to perform basic security code review, orientation in foreign code, and its modification (vulnerability fixes, patch application).
• Experience with build processes – recompilation with patched libraries, backport security fixes, creation of custom packages/containers.
• SBOM analysis and dependency audit.
• Deep understanding of the L3-L7 network stack.
• Experience with network segmentation and zero-trust architecture.
• Knowledge of TLS/mTLS, PKI, and certificate management.
• Experience with firewall configuration and management (iptables/nftables, network firewalls).
• Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPsec, WireGuard).
