Security Engineer (Cloud/Application)

Location: Hybrid, minimum of 2 days per week at one of our London, Basingstoke, or Bristol offices.

Salary: £48,120 – £64,150

What you will do

• Conduct security reviews and audits of applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Implement augmentations to the software development lifecycle (e.g., threat modelling, SAST, SCA, DAST).
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in applications and cloud environments.
• Design pragmatic security solutions aligned with business processes and security strategy.
• Support incident response activities and post-incident analysis.
• Partner with commercial department and existing clients to provide security assurance for services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on application and/or cloud security.
• Strong understanding of application and cloud security principles.
• Experience identifying and fixing security flaws in modern application architectures.
• Familiarity with secure software development practices and DevSecOps.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST, CIS).
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts in clear, simple language.
