Senior Software Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer: Responsible for the design and development of the GPIPayment Processing Gateway and other server-side products with an accent on modern Object Oriented Languages and integration with payment partner’s systems. Focus on understanding customer needs, identifying problems, and collaborating with team members to ensure technical accuracy and timely deliverables.

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom. Eligibility to work in the UK on a full time and permanent basis is essential.

What you will do

• Design and develop the GPIPayment Processing Gateway and other server-side products.
• Utilize C#, Java, database technologies, and web technologies to build server-side products.
• Integrate capabilities to payment partner’s systems using a variety of transport and wire protocols.
• Understand customer needs, identify problems, and propose improvements to existing methods.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure technical accuracy and timely deliverables.
• Assist with project management activities including estimation, scheduling, planning, and tracking progress.
• Assist with software deployment activities to production data centers, training, mentoring, and hiring.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field, or commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or another Object-Oriented programming language.
• Experience in server product development.
• Experience with Design Patterns, Refactoring, and Object-Oriented Design.
• Understanding of database design and development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK on a full time and permanent basis.

Nice to have

• Experience in a senior role on software development teams.
• Experience in web client programming skills, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS/GCP.
