What you will do

• Build and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable, and secure code based on user stories and software designs.
• Develop enterprise software within a multi-functional agile team, adhering to company standards and established methodologies.
• Ensure reliable, robust software delivery through the creation and execution of automated tests, demonstrating a consistent focus on quality.
• Review work of peers and more junior developers, providing advice and guidance to benefit the team.
• Inspect and adapt through agile retrospectives and reviews, finding innovative ways to make the team work more effectively.
• Work with team members in refinement and planning sessions to analyze development requirements, provide design options, estimate complexity, and agree on delivery.

Requirements

• Experienced software engineer with excellent knowledge of the Java language and underlying JVM.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and familiar with various design patterns.
• Experience of unit testing, databases, and SQL.
• Understanding of security implications and secure coding practices.
• Skill for writing clean, readable code and reusable components.
• Experienced in or a strong desire to work in a formal agile software development lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of DevOps culture and RESTful interfaces.
• Knowledge of/Experience with service-oriented architectures.
