TL;DR

Customer Trust Specialist (AI): Operational backbone for triaging questionnaire requests, coordinating customer audits, and streamlining contract reviews with Legal/Compliance teams. Focus on implementing automation platforms, establishing scalable processes, and ensuring accurate, consistent responses across security, privacy, compliance, and AI safety topics.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. Staff are expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is available.

Salary: Annual Salary: $255,000–$270,000 USD

What you will do

  • Own day-to-day execution of customer security questionnaires, assessments, and RFPs, managing intake, routing, and delivery.
  • Partner with Legal Operations on security-related contract reviews and support negotiations.
  • Implement and optimize automation platforms, track metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate incoming customer audit requests, including evidence collection and communication.
  • Build and maintain response knowledge bases across security, privacy, compliance, and AI safety topics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in compliance, security operations, or customer trust roles with hands-on questionnaire/audit management.
  • Proven success managing high volumes of customer security requests with demonstrated ability to maintain quality under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of common security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, CSA CCM).
  • Experience working in cloud-native, multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and understanding shared responsibility models.
  • Exceptional at stakeholder management and strong written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change, thriving in high-growth environments where processes are still being defined.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in AI/ML companies and understanding AI safety/security considerations.
  • Experience with trust automation platforms (Vanta, OneTrust, Whistic, etc.).
  • Possession of relevant certifications (CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Internal Auditor).
