Software Development Manager (Mobile): Leading and coaching a mobile engineering team to deliver high-quality code in a continuous delivery environment with an accent on technical architecture evaluation, team development, and stakeholder collaboration. Focus on fostering a high-trust environment, driving delivery cadence, and contributing to organizational objectives through hands-on technical guidance.
Location: Primarily based in Auckland, New Zealand, with flexibility to work remotely for up to 60 days per year.

What you will do
- Hire, onboard, train, and coach a high-performing mobile engineering team, supporting their career development.
- Help your team deliver code in a high-trust environment using continuous delivery, ensuring strong stakeholder connection.
- Evaluate the technical architecture of the mobile application and adopt industry trends.
- Collaborate closely with the team to manage development initiatives, answer questions, and sign off on work results.
- Lead by example and contribute with some hands-on coding in Java, Golang, or Kotlin.
- Contribute to wider organizational objectives, even if outside strict role scope.
Requirements
- Experience leading a team of mobile developers through successful software projects.
- Experience providing technical leadership to deliver solutions to complex problems.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience creating processes for bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Adaptability to build, change, and adapt to the needs of a growing company.
- Effectiveness at nurturing relationships and managing multiple stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience within a similar industry.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Experience in mobile application development.
