TL;DR

Player Support Specialist (Gaming): Providing top-notch support to players for a live operations games company with an accent on resolving billing issues and reporting bugs. Focus on managing game communities, answering customer support emails, and acting as a liaison between players and product owners.

Location: Remote role anywhere in Ontario, Canada. This is a 6-month contract for independent contractors only.

What you will do

  • Provide top-notch support to players and resolve support tickets.
  • Analyze support ticket data to assess customer needs and achieve high satisfaction.
  • Manage game communities and answer customer support emails.
  • Work alongside the QA team to help resolve player-reported bugs.
  • Support marketing campaigns through different forums and ensure community content is correct.
  • Act as a liaison between players and product owners.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in customer service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to deliver information empathetically.
  • Strong desire to provide premium service to customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Passion for online games.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and collaborate cross-functionally in a remote work environment.
  • Must be an independent contractor based in Ontario, responsible for own taxes and statutory obligations.

Nice to have

  • Strong knowledge of Free to Play, Facebook, or mobile games.
  • Experience in online customer support, tech support, and/or troubleshooting.
  • Zendesk and/or Salesforce experience on a User Level.
  • Experience moderating forum discussion boards.
