Salary: $159,000–$211,666.67 USD

What you will do

• Architect and implement backend services powering multi-agent workflows and distributed microservices.
• Design scalable workflow engines and "human-in-the-loop" systems for long-running investigations and remediation.
• Create the integration layer between Python-based AI frameworks and hirify.global’s robust JVM-based microservices architecture.
• Implement verification layers, citations, and security guardrails to ensure agents operate deterministically and safely.
• Build advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and "Tool Use" capabilities for data synthesis.
• Collaborate with researchers and product leads to define the roadmap for AI orchestration and champion best practices.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience (7+ for Staff level) in building backend systems, APIs, and platforms.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents and autonomous workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Pydantic AI.
• Strong programming skills in Python with experience in or a willingness to work with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala).
• Experience designing event-driven architectures, managing concurrency, and building fault-tolerant services (e.g., using Kafka, gRPC, REST).
• Proficiency with Relational Databases (PostgreSQL) and experience with Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) or search engines (Elasticsearch).

Nice to have

• Experience designing frameworks to evaluate agent performance and implementing CI/CD for AI workflows.
• Experience deploying and scaling services in AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Knowledge Graphs or advanced search algorithms.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts is a plus.
