Sr. Data Engineer (Starlink Growth)

Sr. Data Engineer (Starlink Growth): Responsible for developing the strategy, key metrics, tools, models, and processes for assessing the health of Starlink business with an accent on extracting valuable insights from data across all business units and the Starlink network. Focus on turning data insights into action and autonomous applications via the latest machine learning and statistical technologies.

Salary: $160,000.00 - $220,000.00/per year

What you will do

• Build high-visibility, statistically-based dashboards and analytics tools to uncover new trends in customer growth or experience.
• Transform insights into action items for business and engineering teams, based on statistically-driven evidence.
• Develop and implement monitoring systems and strategies to quickly detect trends and regressions as they arise.
• Work closely with software and production teams to optimize user experience.
• Develop and validate models to forecast customer acquisition.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics, or a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience building solutions with Python and SQL.
• 5+ years of professional experience with statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or machine learning.
• Experience building predictive models and machine learning pipelines (clustering analysis, anomaly detection, survival analysis, time series models)
• Experience with data visualization skills, including experience in geospatial data representations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience designing and utilizing relational database (SQL).
