TL;DR

Analyst, Power Planning: Supporting forecasting, planning, and execution of power delivery for data center campuses across North America with an accent on developing power forecast models, tracking actuals, and analyzing energy market, infrastructure, and sustainability considerations. Focus on quantitative analysis, market and regulatory awareness, and strong modeling skills to ensure data centers are energized on time and operate efficiently.

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 Base + Bonus

What you will do

  • Build, maintain, and continuously refine power forecast models using Excel and Power BI for short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
  • Track actual versus forecasted MW consumption across data center campuses and analyze variances.
  • Model power ramps, customer usage curves, and PUE assumptions to support capacity, operational, and financial planning.
  • Maintain the master schedule of energization dates, integrating utility interconnection schedules with power-on dates and load ramps.
  • Perform quantitative analysis and modeling to support risk management, resource planning, and infrastructure investment decisions.
  • Research, understand, and present power and energy market forecasts, including market dynamics, interconnection processes, and relevant regulatory environments.
  • Synthesize complex datasets into clear, concise dashboards, reports, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Energy, Infrastructure, Development, Interconnection, and Operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., engineering, economics, finance, energy systems, data analytics); Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in energy, power planning, infrastructure analysis, or related roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of power systems concepts, including MW capacity, load ramps, energization, interconnection, and PUE.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work from US only.
  • English: B2 required.
