Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year (general U.S. range); USD $158,400 – $258,000 per year (San Francisco Bay and New York City metropolitan areas).

What you will do

• Design and operate high-scale, high-performance systems processing billions of events through near-real-time and offline pipelines.
• Build data applications that directly impact Microsoft Ads' double-digit annual growth.
• Work with BingAds stakeholders to determine requirements for new features and create system designs.
• Implement features with high efficiency, extensibility, diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Maintain operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis.
• Profile and analyze distributed system performance and capacity bottlenecks, proposing and implementing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience in Distributed Systems and Big Data Technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, Kafka, Flink, Scala.
• Experience in Azure.
• Experience in Machine learning and online system design, implementation, and qualification.
