What you will do

• Lead the team in executing complex data initiatives, ensuring alignment with team goals and contributing to organizational objectives.
• Drive efficient delivery by promoting best practices in system design, operational processes, and team workflows.
• Collaborate with Product and other teams to contribute to roadmap definition and validation.
• Identify and resolve blockers impacting the team's ability to deliver, providing hands-on support when necessary.
• Participate in meetings, reviews, and design sessions involving other teams, sharing best practices.
• Mentor and coach individual contributors on the team, supporting their professional development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in analytics Engineering or a closely related data engineering role.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, data modeling techniques, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining data transformations and data models using tools like dataform (or dbt), with specific experience in GCP preferred (BigQuery, Dataform, Dataflow, Vertex AI).
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• English: fluency is required

Nice to have

• Prior experience leading or mentoring junior team members or projects is highly desirable.
