TL;DR

Support Engineer (Backend/SaaS): Providing world-class developer support for users of hirify.global's Postgres development platform, with an accent on initial response, case triage, and issue reproduction. Focus on minimizing time to fix, improving support efficiency, and collaborating closely with product engineering and growth teams.

Location: Remote, must be based in APAC time zones.

hirify.global is a Postgres development platform offering a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search.

What you will do

  • Provide initial and timely responses to support cases for a variety of topics, from billing to optimization.
  • Triage support cases by directing users to resources or escalating to technical/business teams.
  • Monitor multiple feedback channels, including GitHub Issues & Discussions.
  • Identify where internal tooling can be developed to improve support efficiency.
  • Reproduce issues, create test cases, and improve test coverage if experienced with testing.

Requirements

  • Experienced in customer support, with 3+ years providing developer support to technical customers.
  • Proficient in SQL (ideally PostgreSQL) and comfortable with complex queries.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (C1).
  • Skilled in using Linux/Unix operating systems and the command line.
  • Experienced working with GitHub Issues and Discussions.
  • Must be located in APAC time zones.

Nice to have

  • Database administration experience.
  • Familiarity with popular JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Svelte, and some experience with Node.js.
  • A degree in Computer Science.
