Senior Rigging & Simulation Artist II (Gamedev): Responsible for building complex rigs and maintaining a high level of visual and technical quality for all characters. Focus on character CFX and bringing them to their full potential.

Location: Hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home in Irvine, CA. Must be based in the US

Salary: $91,700.00 - $193,800.00 CAD

What you will do

• Build complex rigs for characters.
• Maintain a high level of visual and technical quality for all characters.
• Collaborate with other departments including modeling, animation, FX, and lighting.

Requirements

• 12+ years’ experience rigging characters in Maya, or similar software.
• Previous experience working in feature film or a TV animation pipeline.
• Experience in Python, MEL, C/C++, or other programming languages.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of character kinematics, deformations, and topology.

Nice to have

• History of generating cloth/hair rigs and creating art directed shot simulations.
• Thorough knowledge of layout, modeling, rigging, simulations, and animation tools and workflows currently used in the industry.
• Experience working in Houdini.
• Experience rigging in Unreal.
• Passion for hirify.global Games and Cinematics.
