What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of visual design annotators, evaluators, and AI quality specialists.
• Define and maintain visual quality standards, aesthetic guidelines, and annotation frameworks for foundational AI research.
• Collaborate closely with China-based research, data science, and product partners.
• Serve as the primary communication bridge between the China-based team and global Content design leadership.
• Identify opportunities to streamline annotation and evaluation workflows, collaborating with tool builders.
• Advocate for design-centric priorities in foundational model development and strategic AI planning.

Requirements

• Experience leading creative or design-adjacent teams in tech, AI, or digital product environments.
• Deep understanding of visual design fundamentals (composition, hierarchy, typography, color, layout, creative direction).
• Familiarity with generative AI systems, training data workflows, and evaluation methodologies.
• Strong written English communication skills are required for clarity, structure, and confidence.
• Ability to work across cultures, time zones, and different work modes.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating with global teams in matrixed environments.
• Background in design and creative QA.
• Knowledge of annotation tool ecosystems or ML data pipelines.
