Senior Fullstack Engineer (Fintech): Building and optimizing B2C software systems for millions of low-income Americans with an accent on interacting with government programs and surfacing savings opportunities. Focus on designing reliable, scalable, and maintainable software using modern web and mobile stacks (Vue, Python) and contributing to architecture and internal tooling.

Location: Remote (US) - Must be based in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.

Salary: $165,000 – $230,000

What you will do

• Build software systems used by millions of low-income Americans.
• Develop iOS and Android apps using Vue, TypeScript, and Capacitor.
• Develop significant server-side software using Python, Flask, Postgres, Redis, and AWS.
• Create software that is reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to scope projects and execute on innovative products.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining complex full-stack software.
• Experience with a startup environment or the ability to operate effectively with ambiguity.
• Fluency in Python and JavaScript or a willingness to learn and specialize in these languages.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Computer science degree or equivalent fundamentals.
• Must be located in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.

Nice to have

• Experience with or knowledge of government services (SNAP, WIC, TANF, SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Section 8).
