Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fullstack): Designing, implementing, and optimizing high-scale services and user experiences for Microsoft Rewards with an accent on full-stack web development, reliable and secure service delivery, and data-driven iterations. Focus on driving end-to-end feature development, solving complex engineering challenges, and ensuring system reliability for a global consumer ecosystem.

Location: Barcelona, Spain. Employees are expected to work from the office at least four days per week if living within a 25-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office.

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end feature development from ideation to implementation and testing.
• Write solid, production-quality code that is simple, extensible, and maintainable.
• Measure and analyze the metrics for features shipped.
• Seek opportunities in code and processes to improve quality and efficiency.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to create user experiences.
• Foster a culture of inclusivity and disciplined software engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 2+ years of industry experience developing production quality software.
• Full stack Web software development experience, implementing cross-browser web applications.
• Expertise in frontend development technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, Angular.
• Solid software design skills and problem-solving ability.
• Experience working on enterprise and consumer products.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5+ years of industry experience developing production quality software.
• Experience with OOP, TDD, and agile development models.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and Big Data technologies.
• Experience building web services using ASP.NET (or similar technologies) and SDKs based on REST APIs.
• Experience shipping online services in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with the full software development cycle.
