What you will do

• Design and build core platform services for scalable AI model training and evaluation, including cluster orchestration, job scheduling, and data/compute pipelines.
• Standardize containerized workflows, maintain CI/CD, and advocate for best practices in security, reproducibility, and cost efficiency.
• Implement end-to-end observability (metrics, tracing, logging, monitoring, alerts) for model training and platform health using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Architect and operate services on Azure cloud platforms, managing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Helm) and networking.
• Enhance developer experience by creating tools, CLIs, and portals for job submission, metrics analysis, and experiment management.
• Enforce security and compliance policies for data access, container hardening, and supply-chain integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience (6+ or 8+ years for higher IC levels).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in distributed systems, networking, and storage.
• Experience building systems for AI research teams, with a solid understanding of training and evaluating large language models (LLMs).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and the Linux container ecosystem.
• Experience orchestrating data and compute pipelines using tools like Airflow or Argo, and managing streaming/object storage systems (Kafka/Event Hubs, Azure Blob/S3).
• Proficiency in coding languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
